PACEP Executive Director Rodah Rotino Attends FIMI 25th Anniversary in Peru
The Pastoral Communities Empowerment Programme (PACEP) is proud to announce that its Executive Director, Ms. Rodah Rotino, participated in the 25th Anniversary celebrations of the International Indigenous Women’s Forum (FIMI) held in Peru.

The milestone event, which brought together Indigenous women leaders, activists, policymakers, and development partners from across the globe, celebrated two and a half decades of advancing the rights, visibility, and empowerment of Indigenous women worldwide.
As a respected voice in Indigenous women’s movements and community development, Ms. Rotino joined fellow leaders in reflecting on FIMI’s journey, the achievements realized in championing Indigenous women’s rights, and the challenges that remain in creating a more just and inclusive world.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Rotino underscored the importance of solidarity among Indigenous women, highlighting the role of grassroots movements in strengthening leadership, fostering cultural preservation, and ensuring sustainable development. She emphasized that organizations such as PACEP, working hand in hand with FIMI, continue to amplify women’s voices at both local and global levels.
“This anniversary is not just a celebration of the past 25 years, but also a call to action for the future. Indigenous women must remain united, innovative, and resilient in driving change within our communities and influencing global development agendas,” she noted.
The gathering in Peru served as both a celebration and a strategic space for dialogue, where leaders like Ms. Rotino contributed to shaping the vision for the next phase of FIMI’s work—focusing on intergenerational leadership, climate justice, and socio-economic empowerment for Indigenous women.
Through her participation, Ms. Rotino reaffirmed PACEP’s commitment to advancing women’s rights, strengthening Indigenous knowledge systems, and promoting inclusive policies that empower marginalized communities.
